Before coming up with any designs for the company, it was important to find out more about them in order to create designs that fitted with their brand and identity. Da Mhile was established in 1992 where they commissioned the worlds first organic whisky, originally distilled in Campbelltown in Scotland. They later expanded to rural West Wales, in a small town called Llandysul. The distillery was founded by a welsh farming family; therefore, the company pride themselves on their welsh Celtic heritage, ‘Committed to producing high quality organic spirits that will make Wales proud.’ They became fully operational in 2012, making a wide variety of organic spirits and liqueurs, including new flavours such as apple brandy and flavoured vodka and gin.

I used my graphics tablet to draw the box and plan the net which is how I originally planned to create the outside packaging. I spent a long time trying to perfect these designs and ensure that they looked coherent.
