The Department of Chemistry at the University of Reading wanted to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table, with collaboration from our department (Graphic Communication and Typography), of which I was lucky enough to be asked to be a part of. A design was commissioned to be displayed in the common space located near the entrance of the chemistry building. The client requested for the design to be related to the growth of the Periodic Table throughout history, and for it to be produced on a large-scale and installed on the walls of the specified area. A full report of our process can be found on typography.network.
All illustrations were originally hand illustrated by me and distributed amongst the team due to the amount of illustrations that were required to be digitalised.
